Manager Software Test Engineering

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Manager, Software Test Engineering who is results-driven and responsible for evaluating software solutions to ensure that it meets the specifications and requirements before being released to our customers. The key to the success of this position is having ability to build teams, strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the entire software testing process, including planning, designing, executing, and reporting on tests, to ensure that software meets quality standards by leading a team of testers in-country.
• Accountable for the QA delivery of the team, coordinating all testing activities and resources as required.
• Co-ordinate test results and defects with the development team and other stakeholders and work on the resolution.
• Work closely with other QA managers and leads globally to ensure best practice and adherence to standards.
• Lead all quality assurance efforts including but not limited to automation testing, performance testing, load testing, stress testing etc.
• Define test strategies, creating test plans, managing test environments, identifying and resolving defects, and communicating testing progress to project teams globally.
• Ownership to build the local Test engineering teams in a competitive market.
• Train, coach and guide team members to establish new test teams in collaboration with global teams.
• Review functional, performance, and regression testing results of software products done by the team.
• Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools, including AI and test automation.
• Active participation in planning, analysis and estimation of backlog requirements.
• Able to lead the team and provide required support and still meet job requirements and tight deadlines.
• Accountability and ownership of multiple products from a testing perspective.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Organize cross-team collaboration.
• Identifies gaps in skillsets and product knowledge and provide or organize cross training for the team accordingly
• Continuous improvement in productivity and competency of self and QA team
• Responsible for career development/planning, performance discussions of team members.

Qualifications:

• A bachelors degree and prior work-related experience OR equivalent
• 8+ years of related professional experience in QA role in an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience in leading a team of 4 or more QA engineers.
• Strong working knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, best practices, SDLC and STLC
• Strong working knowledge in test automation (preferably selenium), performance testing (Loadrunner/LoadNinja) and advanced testing frameworks.
• Hands on experience on functional, systems testing including Test strategy, Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test Execution, Traceability Matrix and Test Metrics.
• Hands on experience in estimation and planning of QA delivery for the releases.
• Knowledge and experience using SQL Server Database and SQL queries is preferrable.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively collaborate with all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to both analyze and troubleshoot issues around product, third party software and databases.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet internal and external deadlines.
• Deep commitment to growing leadership skills and enriching others through coaching and mentoring.
• Results and quality oriented with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Previous experience with Reconciliation and/or month-end close applications is preferred.
