What You Will Do responsible for growing current customer accounts and targeting new prospects. The Supply Chain Product Sales Account Executive will be responsible for engaging with Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) Distributors and Building Product Manufacturers (BPMs) to share the benefits that Trimble s content & supply chain services deliver.
Trimble is the leading content provider for the MEP industry worldwide, offering solutions across North America, Europe, and the U.K. In North America, we focus on syndicating manufacturer pricing & product data, rich e-commerce content, and 3D model data to MEP Distributors and contractors for use in their business systems. In addition, we leverage that content to connect the supply chain and enable digital procurement through the growing Supplier Xchange platform and user network.
Measures of success
As a Product Sales Account Executive at Trimble, you and your colleagues are responsible for the expansion of Trimble s content syndication & Supplier Xchange services . Specific responsibilities are:
Collaborate with your team in finding, researching, generating, and developing leads, and subsequently close opportunities within targeted MEP Distributor and BPM prospects within your territory
Effectively communicate with prospective customers Trimble s unique value proposition in order to qualify and generate sales opportunities for Trimble s content & supply chain solutions
Close sales and exceed your sales targets (quota)
Keep up with product enhancements and relevant industry developments
Engage, collaborate, and align with the Supply Chain product marketing team
In this role, you will be Continually build opportunities and manage your pipeline via daily proactive sales activities as well as by representing Trimble at industry events & trade shows.
Collaborate and assist in the research, development, and maintenance of long and short range sales and territory plans as it relates to the products you sell
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
5+ years of sales experience.
Ideal candidate is someone who has sold either products, software or services to manufacturers or distributors in the construction supply chain space.
Specialization and prior experience in E-commerce, (PIM) Product Information Management and/or SaaS sales within the construction industry is a big plus.
A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding an annual quota
Exemplary presentation and communication ability across all levels of an organization.
Proficient in Salesforce CRM and Google Suite products.
Excellent negotiating and closing skills with customers / prospects as well as with internal resources.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time with an average of +/- 20%.
