Engineering Management

As the Manager of Cloud Operations for the Global Team located in Chennai, India, you will oversee the daily management of Viewpoints Global Cloud Services. In this role, you will lead a team of cloud engineers and develop the Cloud Operations strategic vision. Your responsibilities will encompass software deployment, upgrades, system setup, administration, monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management, security management and monitoring, demand and capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery, cost optimization, cloud migrations, and cloud support. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Development, and the Information Security Officer to establish technical cloud standards, architecture, and achieve strategic objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and implementing best practices, policies, and procedures to manage cloud operations staffing and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic vision, along with a technical and operational roadmap that addresses both current and future needs of Viewpoint.

• Ensure that Viewpoints Cloud platform is designed for 24/7 operations, including disaster recovery, performance monitoring, and oversight of Network Operations, Event Management, Incident Management, Problem/Escalation Management, Configuration Management, and Change Management processes.

• Enhance and contribute to the security policies and procedures for Viewpoint Cloud Services, and implement system management tools to monitor and manage all cloud infrastructures.

• Define and report on Objective and Key Results (OKR) to assess process health and establish customer-facing service metrics. Collaborate with the Information Security Office to implement and oversee security policies, monitoring, and guidelines for Viewpoint Cloud Services.

• Conduct system outage analyses to prevent recurrence of incidents, and implement continuous improvement plans for all services and processes.

• Directly manage the Chennai Cloud Operations team, consisting of skilled cloud engineers responsible for cloud architecture, design, implementation, and operations of critical, large-scale shared services.

• Lead service design activities to ensure alignment with SLA requirements, capacity modeling for scale and cost, and security management.

• Ensure all technical procedures, including installation, configuration, and run books, are documented, updated, and contribute to maintaining operational standards, with a focus on automating infrastructure services and system administration tasks.

• Implement a monitoring strategy that provides rapid feedback and diagnostics in the event of service disruptions.

• Continuously seek and introduce new methods to improve, optimize, and scale cloud services.

• A certification in cloud technologies such as Azure and/or is a plus.

• Coach and mentor direct reports, supporting their development and career growth.
