Database Admin

1. Installing, configuring, and upgrading the database software to ensure that it is running efficiently and securely.
2. Creating and managing database instances, which are separate environments in which different applications can run.
3. Monitor database performance to identify potential bottlenecks or other issues that could affect performance.
4. Backing up the data in the database and restoring it in the event of a disaster.
5. Create and manage user accounts and access to ensure that only authorized users can access the data.
6. Ensuring that data is stored securely and that appropriate security measures are in place to protect it.
7. Troubleshoot database issues, such as data corruption or database crashes, to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
8. Plan for future growth by analysing usage patterns and recommending changes to the database infrastructure as needed.
9. Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, database
performance tuning, and disaster recovery. Installing.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
? Certifications in database administration, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.

Experience:
? 5 years of experience in database administration or related fields such as software development or network administration.
? Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
? Understanding of database design, database security, and data modelling.
? Experience in database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with database security and compliance requirements.
