Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, availability, and responsiveness
- Customize themes, plugins, and other functionalities as per project requirements
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality
- Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices
- Optimize website speed, performance, and SEO readiness
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix any issues related to WordPress sites
- Stay up to date with the latest WordPress developments, trends, and best practices
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as required
- Create and manage databases, backups, and ensure security measures are in place
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams or clients when necessary
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a portfolio of previous work
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development
- Experience with PHP and MySQL for backend development
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms
- Knowledge of other CMS platforms such as Joomla or Drupal
- Familiarity with modern build tools like Webpack or Gulp
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
