PLC Programmer

Role & responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for new and existing automation systems.
• Configure and program PLCs from various manufacturers, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.
• Develop, configure, and maintain Rockwell Automation PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems specific to the Ronchi production line.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient system performance.
• Perform system diagnostics and root cause analysis to identify and fix faults in PLC programs and control systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for PLC programs, including code comments, flowcharts, and system diagrams.
• Create and update operating procedures and technical manuals related to PLC programming and automation systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to understand system requirements and develop solutions that meet operational needs.
• Create efficient control logic and algorithms to improve the performance and reliability of production line operations.
• Implement enhancements and upgrades to existing PLC programs to optimize performance and reliability.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Rockwell Automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Strong understanding of Rockwell Automation software and hardware.
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi is required.
• Proficiency in PLC programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.
