Transformative Learning Solutions - Lead DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (5-6 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a DevOps Lead who can independently deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based environments, manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure, oversee Kubernetes (K8s) deployments, and streamline CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in scaling deployments, optimizing system performance, and leading a team of junior DevOps engineers.

Role & Responsibilities :

The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

Infrastructure and Deployment :

- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers and cloud-based infrastructure on AWS/Azure.

- Set up and manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters for scalable and resilient deployments.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.

CI/CD and Automation :

- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.

- Ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications with minimal downtime.

- Automate software delivery processes to enhance deployment speed and reliability.

Monitoring and Security :

- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, or CloudWatch.

- Ensure infrastructure security by applying best practices in IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), and network security.

- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize system efficiency.

Team and Process Management :

- Lead and mentor a team of junior DevOps engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise.

- Work closely with development and security teams to ensure the best DevSecOps practices.

- Define and document DevOps workflows, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements :

- 5-6 years of hands-on DevOps experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.

- Expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian).

- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, and Serverless).

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or self-hosted K8s).

- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, or similar).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack.

- Good understanding of networking, security, and performance optimization.

- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead a small team.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Exposure to service meshes like Istio or Linkerd.

- Knowledge of GitOps methodologies and tools like FluxCD or ArgoCD.

- Experience in cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.
