Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor multiple teams of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Architect and develop scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product/Design and QA, to deliver high-quality products.
• Drive technical excellence and best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Conduct regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team and with other stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team performance metrics.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a technical lead or management role.

• Proven ability to write and review code at a senior engineering level.

• Strong expertise in software architecture and design patterns.

• Experience developing software systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS.

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed technical decisions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.

• Familiarity with DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Mean Time to Recovery) and the ability to use them to drive continuous improvement in software delivery performance.
