Av Support Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

As an AV Technical Support Engineer / AV Project Engineer, you will oversee the installation, integration, and maintenance of audiovisual systems, ensuring smooth operation for meeting rooms, video conferencing, and live events. You will provide technical support for AV equipment, monitor and troubleshoot video conferencing calls, and maintain AV equipment across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Integration: Install and configure audio, video, and telecommunication systems; ensure seamless integration of AV systems.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide support for AV equipment (switchers, mixers, projectors, video walls, etc.) and troubleshoot connectivity, video, and audio issues for VC systems (Polycom, Cisco, Zoom, etc.).
• Maintenance & Checks: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance on AV systems.
• Video Conferencing & Collaboration Tools: Support and troubleshoot VC platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and Skype for Business.
• Event Setup: Oversee AV setups for corporate events, ensuring smooth operation of equipment, lighting, and content sharing.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain equipment inventory and document maintenance tasks and project progress.
• Client & Team Collaboration: Work with clients to understand AV needs, train team members, and ensure project deadlines are met.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree/diploma in Electronics, AV Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in AV integration, support, or project management.
• Experience with AV brands (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Polycom, Cisco, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of video conferencing systems and platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx).
• Familiarity with AV control systems and wireless presentation tools.

Skills:

• Troubleshooting AV systems and connectors (VGA, HDMI, XLR, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with live event AV support.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and provide immediate solutions during live sessions.
