Azure DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to oversee the management, optimization, and performance of our Azure cloud environment and Active Directory. This role focuses on implementing, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, with an emphasis on continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), automation, and optimizing our development processes. DevOps Engineer will guide the operations team in maintaining a reliable and scalable infrastructure, monitoring system health, and optimizing costs. This role is critical in ensuring that our cloud infrastructure supports business objectives while adhering to best practices for performance, security, and availability.

Team Leadership Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers responsible for the Azure SAF architecture.
Serve as a mentor and escalation point for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Define team goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and track performance against business objectives.

SAF DevOps implementation:
Oversee on designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
Manage and optimize the SAF architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Ensure governance, security best practices, and compliance with SLAs.

Infrastructure Management:
Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, and Azure SQL Database.
Optimize Azure resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Implement DevOps practices to enhance platform reliability, focusing on monitoring, incident management, and SLAs.
Monitor and ensure the reliability and performance of production systems and services, establishing SLOs and SLIs.
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and work with development teams on long-term solutions.
Collaborate on the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment and monitoring processes.

Technical Knowledge:

Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.

Develop and maintain IaC templates using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

Ensure infrastructure configurations are version-controlled and auditable, enabling consistent and repeatable deployments.

Write and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks, provisioning resources, and managing deployments using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI.

Leverage Azure Automation for efficient job scheduling, configuration management, and system updates.

ITIL Incident Management:

Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Drive timely identification, investigation, resolution, and root cause analysis of technical issues.
Lead incident resolution efforts and improve system reliability through continuous learning.

Stakeholder Communication Reporting:
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on operational status, key metrics, and incident reports.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand current and future platform needs and align operations with strategic goals.
Act as the day-to-day primary point of contact for client escalations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Documentation Knowledge Management:

Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to upskill the team.
Develop and maintain automation tools to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, incident responses, and improvements.
Lead efforts to continuously improve processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Capacity Planning Future Growth:
Monitor cloud expenses and recommend strategies for reducing costs without compromising performance or scalability.
Generate regular reports on pipeline efficiency, deployment frequency, and cloud resource utilization for stakeholders.

Implement and maintain security measures, including privileged access management, account lockout policies, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
