Lead Platform Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team and play a critical role in streamlining and automating our cloud infrastructure.

As a Platform Engineer at Torry Harris, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes for our cloud-based applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment and management of our cloud services.

Qualification:

7+ years of hands-on experience in taking requirements and designing, architecting, and implementing scalable and robust solutions.
Proven success in building frameworks and products.
4+ years of experience working with modern languages like Typescript, Java, Node.js, Python
4+ years of experience with agile methodologies and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS is a plus).
3+ years of experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and tools.
Familiarity with serverless technologies (such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway) is advantageous.

Act as a leader within our engineering community, mentoring junior and senior engineers.
Contribute significantly to architectural decisions to build robust solutions.
Build patterns, services, tools, frameworks, APIs, and capabilities across the full stack and in AWS to enhance developer productivity with a security-conscious mindset.
Develop reusable components and microservices that power our self-service portal.
Design and implement patterns, services, tools, frameworks, APIs, and capabilities across AWS that promote developer productivity and ensure security.
Engage with stakeholders and present the work being carried out effectively.
