Role & responsibilities

• Shopify Development & Maintenance:
  
• Develop, customize, and maintain our Shopify e-commerce website to meet the business's evolving needs.
• Implement responsive design and ensure a seamless user experience across all devices.

• Plugin Implementation & Integration:
  
• Research, evaluate, and implement Shopify plug-ins/apps to improve website functionality and performance.
• Customize existing plug-ins to meet specific business requirements.

• Performance Optimization:
  
• Optimize website speed, performance, and SEO to enhance user experience and improve search rankings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Feature Development:
  
• Design and implement new website features and functionality.
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.

• Security & Compliance:
  
• Ensure the Shopify platform complies with industry standards, including PCI compliance and data security.
• Regularly update and back up the website to prevent data loss or breaches.

• Collaboration & Team Leadership:
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations, to align web development projects with company goals.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Shopify development, including creating themes and custom functionalities.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JSON.
• Experience with Shopify APIs and integrating third-party apps and services.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and debugging tools.

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Shopify platform limitations and capabilities.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for e-commerce websites.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
