We are looking for an Life science and Computer Science fresher graduates for the role of Copy Editor Trainee.

Role / Designation: Copy Editor Trainee (Editing Science books & Articles)

Job Location: Chennai (Taramani)

Work mode: Work from office

Shift: Rotational Shift

What an Copyeditor will do?

Copy editing is a process that ensures that text is correct in terms of spelling, grammar, punctuation, terminology and formatting. Copy editing also ensures that the idea the writer wishes to portray is clear and easy to understand by the readers.

Job Description :

• Edit documents as per the publishers language and style requirements.
• Check the Manuscript/articles submitted by authors for punctuation, spelling, clarity, consistency and subject verb agreement.
• Ensure that the documents are ready and well set for the next stage, which is language editing, and converting them into a marked-up document.
• While doing the file, clarify all doubts/instructions then and there and avoid assumptions.
• Should be able to handle the complicated articles, critical jobs without errors.
  
  

Qualification :

• Must graduated in the academic year of 2022, 2023 and 2024.
• Excellent English skills (both verbal & written).
• Should have basic computer knowledge and should be good in typing.
• Proficiency in MS office tools like MS Word.
• Good eye for detail and should be able to identify mistakes in content.
• Should be an enthusiastic learner and have a passion for reading / editing.
  
  

Shift Timings : Rotational Shifts

First Shift 6:15 AM to 1:45 PM

Second Shift 1:45 PM to 9:15 PM

Third Shift 9:15 PM to 6:15 AM (No Night shift for female candidates)
