Summary of work Environment and Work performed

The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable and cost-effective Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements.

Specific Duties:

• Design, simulate, program and release firmware for power electronics products and systems
  from concept.
• Generate supporting documentation as per project requirements.
• Adhere to best practices, design standards, and processes during development.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

Education

Essential: - Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Desired: - Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Electronics

Knowledge

Solid knowledge of Electronics Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Communication Interfaces like Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, BACnet.

Strong technical background in Motor Control, Electric Drives, AC/DC Converters, Digital Signal Processing and Renewable energy applications.

Expert in programming Microprocessors - CPLD / Assembly Language like Embedded C, ALP of 8051

Good working knowledge of VB/VC++/Python or other Hi Level Programming languages.

Good understanding of communication protocols.

Skills and abilities

Should have experience in System level simulation in MATLAB/Simulink environment or equivalent tools.

Experience in preparing Technical Specifications, Design documents and Test plans

Real-time system performance testing and evaluation under a constraint of memory and speed.

Good experience in debug/diagnostic tools, compilers and assemblers.

Experience

2 to 6 Years of experience in Power Electronic & Electrical Machine domain, Embedded Systems/Algorithm Development.

Hands on experience in product development starting from concept, implementation, testing and installation.

Desired experience:

Experience in UPS or Solar Industry

Familiar with Japanese language.
