Press Shop Production Engineer

1. Scope of the role:

Will be responsible for

• Press shop Operations & supervisions
• Ensure shift operations with high level of safety
• Tool setup and maintaining
• Development of New parts

2. Job Profile:

a. Shift operation of metal press shop

b. Press tool assembly and maintaining

c. Making daily production schedule

d. Material preparation before press and finishing process

e. Design & development of press / forming tools for metal parts

f. Co-ordinate with local vendor for creating new Tools

g. New metal development for making eyewear frames

h. Optimize process parameters to achieve product quality requirements

i. Create process sheets with clear SOPs for manufacturing

j. Establishing workstations to achieve desired efficiency and ease of operation.

k. Develop fixtures and material handling setup at process stages

3. Key Deliverables:

a. Establishing press / forming shop operations within target time

b. Develop pre and post process for forming parts manufacturing

c. Efficiency in developing new parts for product roll out plan

d. Implement in 100% FTA

e. Press tool maintenance

4. The right person

a. Post-graduation from NTTF or Diploma in Tool and Die Engineering with 1 to 3 years experience in press shop / forming operations

b. Independently do press tool setup and operate press machines

c. Willing to work in shifts and ready to relocate at Chikkaballapura

d. Result orientation & Good in team management
