Lead Android Developer - Kotlin Programming (7-10 yrs)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Android Team Lead to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-quality Android applications, along with proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the Android development team to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using Kotlin, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend teams, to define and ship new features.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring high-quality application delivery and performance.

- Stay up to date with the latest Android development technologies and integrate them into the team's workflow to improve efficiency and product quality.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, promoting coding standards, and encouraging best practices.

- Participate in and lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and project demos to ensure successful and timely project completion.

- Oversee the app release lifecycle and ensure proper deployment to the Google Play Store.

- Work closely with stakeholders to align project goals with business needs and provide technical insights to enhance decision-making processes.

- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies, driving continuous improvement in team processes and performance.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in Android application development, with leadership experience or team lead role.

- Strong expertise in Kotlin and the Android SDK, with experience working on complex applications.

- Deep knowledge of integrating RESTful APIs, JSON, and working with third-party libraries and APIs.

- Experience leading teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, managing sprint cycles and project timelines.

- Proven experience in delivering high-quality Android applications with strong attention to detail.

- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, ensuring the stability and performance of applications.

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
