Head Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our automotive design team, driving innovation and excellence in vehicle design, development, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership

1. Lead and manage a team of automotive designers (exterior, interior, CAD).
2. Foster a culture of design excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
3. Develop and implement design processes, standards, and best practices.

Vehicle Design and Development

1. Oversee design concept development, prototyping, and testing.
2. Ensure design quality, consistency, and adherence to automotive regulations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing).

Design for Manufacturability

1. Ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
2. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize design for production.
3. Develop and implement design for assembly (DFA) principles.

Automotive Industry Trends

1. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
2. Apply knowledge of automotive design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

1. 13+ years of automotive design management experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3. Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering successful vehicle programs.
4. Strong understanding of automotive design principles, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience with CAD software (CATIA, Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor).
2. Knowledge of automotive design tools (Alias, Blender).
