ThoughtSpot is seeking a passionate and skilled Developer Evangelist to help us build a thriving developer community around our platform. As the bridge between ThoughtSpot and developers, you will inspire, educate, and empower developers to use our product effectively while fostering meaningful relationships within the developer ecosystem.
You will champion the voice of developers, creating content, facilitating discussions, and driving adoption of ThoughtSpot s solutions by showcasing their power and versatility in solving real-world challenges.

What you ll do:
Developer Advocacy & Evangelism
Act as the face of ThoughtSpot to the developer community - Organize and participate in conferences, hackathons, meetups, and other events.
Build trust and credibility with developers by being a technical resource and advocate for their needs.
Engage actively in developer forums (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow, Discord) to answer questions, provide solutions, and guide developers in adopting ThoughtSpot s tools.
Drive awareness and feedback on Reddit, Product hunt, hacker news etc for new launches/features.
Content Creation
Create compelling technical content such as blogs, tutorials, videos, webinars, and case studies that demonstrate use cases, best practices, and advanced features of ThoughtSpot.
Build and maintain a YouTube playlist featuring step-by-step tutorials and educational content for developers at various skill levels.
Collaborate with third-party blogs and publications to showcase ThoughtSpot s capabilities to a broader audience.
Community Building
Host regular office hours for live Q&A sessions with product experts to address developer challenges.
Manage and grow ThoughtSpot s developer community through platforms like Discord, GitHub, and other peer-to-peer support channels.
Develop programs to reward and recognize active community contributors with badges, exclusive access, swag, or other incentives.
Developer Onboarding & Support
Work with the product team to design and improve developer onboarding, ensuring it s seamless, engaging, and tailored for technical users.
Collaborate with the customer support team to enhance technical resources available to developers, including knowledge bases and FAQs.
Insights & Feedback
Act as the voice of the developer community within ThoughtSpot, gathering feedback to inform product improvements and roadmap decisions.
Analyze engagement metrics from community platforms, tutorials, and events to continuously refine evangelism efforts.
What you ll bring:
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Overall 6-7 years experience, with prior experience in managing developer relations and 2-3 years of experience in software development, developer advocacy, technical marketing, or a related role.
Public speaking experience, including presenting at conferences, meetups, or webinars.
Familiarity with analytics or business intelligence platforms is a bonus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, React or similar, with the ability to create sample applications and write clean, efficient code.
Experience with APIs, SDKs, and developer tools , with a solid understanding of how developers integrate platforms into their workflows.
Familiarity with authentication protocols, cloud technologies, analytics tools, or embedded applications is a plus.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven track record of creating technical content (blogs, videos, tutorials, or open-source projects).
Community Engagement:
Experience building and managing developer communities, whether through forums, social media, or events.
Strong presence on platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, Reddit, Hackernews and similar developer ecosystems.
Soft Skills:
Passionate about empowering developers and fostering innovation.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams like product, marketing, and engineering.
