Thoucentric - Power BI Developer - Dashboard Design (2-5 yrs)

Job Description :

Power BI Skills :

- Connecting to diverse data sources, including SQL databases, BigQuery, and other data platforms, but mainly Semantic Models.

- Semantic Model Optimization : Expert in optimizing Semantic Models for both user adoption and performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and a seamless user experience. This includes expertise in data governance, security, and user access controls within the models.

- Creating interactive reports and dashboards : Skilled in creating compelling and informative interactive reports and dashboards. Ability to effectively utilize a variety of visualizations (charts, maps, tables, KPIs, slicers, etc.) to present complex data clearly and concisely, tailoring the presentation to diverse audiences.

- Applying robust data modeling techniques to create relationships between tables, optimize report performance, and accurately reflect the underlying business logic. A strong understanding of the data's functional use is essential for effective modeling.

- DAX Expertise : Demonstrated expertise in utilizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create sophisticated measures, calculated columns, and tables, enabling in-depth data analysis and the derivation of actionable insights. Experience with optimizing DAX performance for complex calculations is preferred.

- Collaboration & Communication : Effectively share and collaborate on reports and dashboards with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of insights and fostering data-driven decision-making. Experience with Power BI Service administration and report deployment is a plus.

No-Code/Low-Code Platform Skills (General) :

- Data Modeling within Platforms : Many no-code/low-code platforms have their own data modeling capabilities. Understanding how to effectively structure data within these platforms is essential for building robust and efficient applications.

- API Integration : A core skill is connecting different services and platforms through APIs. This involves understanding API authentication, request structures, and data formats like JSON and XML.

- User Interface (UI) Design: Building effective user interfaces within no-code/low-code platforms require an understanding of UX principles to create intuitive and user-friendly applications.

- Workflow Automation : No-code/low-code platforms excel at automating workflows. Understanding how to design and implement automated processes, including error handling and notifications, is essential.
