Bbs Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS):
   
• Interpret structural drawings and prepare accurate BBS as per project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards for reinforcement detailing.
2. Material Management:
   
• Calculate steel quantity requirements and coordinate with procurement teams for timely supply.
• Monitor and track steel consumption to minimize wastage.
3. Site Coordination:
   
• Liaise with site engineers and contractors to ensure reinforcement work is executed as per BBS.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve issues related to steel reinforcement.
4. Quality Assurance:
   
• Conduct inspections of reinforcement works at the site.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
   
• Maintain records of BBS, material usage, and wastage reports.
• Provide regular updates to project management on progress and challenges.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in BBS preparation and steel reinforcement in the construction industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of structural drawings and steel reinforcement detailing.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
