Job Summary:

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of all MEP systems for township construction projects. This role ensures that MEP installations are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, aligning with project requirements and regulatory guidelines. The MEP Manager will coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Design Coordination:

• Review and validate MEP designs and drawings to ensure feasibility and compliance with project specifications, local codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure MEP systems align with overall project objectives.
• Provide inputs during the planning stage for cost estimation and budgeting of MEP systems.

2. Execution and Management:

• Develop and manage the schedule for MEP works in alignment with the overall construction timeline.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and adherence to quality and safety standards.

3. Contractor and Vendor Coordination:

• Evaluate and appoint subcontractors and vendors for MEP-related works.
• Manage and oversee contractors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of work.
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure MEP installations meet design specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance checks.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related activities.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to the project management team.
• Provide regular updates and reports on MEP progress and budgets.

6. Risk and Issue Management:

• Identify potential risks in MEP execution and implement mitigation strategies.
• Resolve technical issues during the construction phase.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in MEP management, preferably in large-scale township or mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.

• Proficiency in MEP software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar platforms.
