Kalpita Technologies - Technical Lead/Azure Infrastructure Engineer (8-12 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

You will be working in a 24/7 environment, requiring strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Azure Infrastructure Management :

- Manage and maintain Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, and other infrastructure components.

- Implement and manage Azure security policies and best practices.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.

- Optimize Azure resource utilization to reduce costs.

Database Administration :

- Monitor and manage databases, including SQL Server, on Azure.

- Perform database backups, restores, and maintenance tasks.

- Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize query performance.

Alert Monitoring and Incident Response :

- Monitor system alerts and respond promptly to incidents.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues during off-hours.

- Implement effective incident response procedures.

Change Management :

- Manage change requests and implement changes in a controlled manner.

- Coordinate with other teams to minimize downtime and impact on services.

Azure Storage and Virtual Machines :

- Manage Azure storage accounts (Blob storage, Azure Files) and optimize storage usage.

- Configure and manage Azure virtual machines.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure services, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.

- Experience with database administration, preferably SQL Server.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with Azure certification (Azure Cloud Practitioner or related) is a plus
