AC Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager/Engineering Supervisor

The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems in the hotel. They ensure that all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment operates efficiently to provide a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems and promptly repair faults.
3. Repair or replace defective parts, such as compressors, thermostats, fan motors, and electrical components.
4. Conduct regular testing of system performance, including temperature controls and air quality.

1. Install new air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration units according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
2. Ensure proper sizing, wiring, and ductwork for HVAC installations.
3. Assist in relocating or upgrading existing systems as needed.

1. Monitor and optimize the performance of HVAC systems to reduce energy consumption.
2. Identify opportunities for system upgrades or retrofits to improve energy efficiency.

1. Ensure all HVAC systems comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
2. Properly handle refrigerants and dispose of them in accordance with local and international guidelines.
3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance audits.

1. Respond promptly to guest complaints regarding room temperature, ventilation, or air quality.
2. Collaborate with other departments to minimize guest disruptions during repairs or maintenance.

1. Assist in maintaining other mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems as required.
2. Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in HVAC maintenance.
3. Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in good condition.
4. Prepare detailed reports on repairs, inventory, and system performance for management.
