What you'll need to bring :

- Proficiency in Backend Development : 3+ years of hands-on experience in NodeJS, demonstrating the ability to design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems and APIs.

- Database Management : Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, query optimisation, and data modelling, as well as familiarity with NoSQL databases like Redis for caching and data storage.

- Cloud Computing Platforms : Proficiency in deploying, managing, and optimising cloud infrastructure on platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.

- Web Servers and Proxies : Knowledge of configuring and optimising web servers like NGINX for load balancing, reverse proxying, and caching, to enhance the performance and security of web applications and APIs.

- Asynchronous Programming and Messaging : Experience with asynchronous programming techniques and message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, for handling background tasks, event-driven processing, and inter-service communication.

- Security Best Practices : Understanding of security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, authentication, and authorisation, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Version Control Systems : Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management, collaboration, and deployment, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts effectively.

- DevOps and Automation Tools : Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automating deployment, testing, and monitoring processes, such as CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).

- Troubleshooting and Debugging : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues efficiently, utilising debugging tools, log analysis, and performance monitoring solutions.
