Test Engineer - Mortgage Loan Domain (2-4 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Requirements Analysis : Analyze and thoroughly understand business objectives, particularly those related to Mortgage Loans and Business Loans products and processes.

- Stakeholder Collaboration : Effectively collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements.

- Test Case Development & Execution : Design, develop, review, and execute comprehensive test cases covering various testing types (functional, regression, system, user acceptance testing, etc.) based on requirements and user stories.

- Defect Management : Identify, track, document, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring clear and concise descriptions, steps to reproduce, and priority assignment. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.

- Test Management & Reporting : Utilize Zephyr for test management activities, including test planning, execution tracking, and reporting. Prepare and deliver clear and concise test reports summarizing test results, defect metrics, and overall application quality.

- STLC Improvement : Actively contribute to the improvement and optimization of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting best practices.

Communication & Presentation : Effectively communicate test findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders through clear presentations and written reports.

Knowledge Sharing : Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in software testing and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications and Skills :

Experience :

- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a focus on applications within the Mortgage Loans domain.

Domain Expertise :

- Solid understanding of corporate banking principles and practices.

- Demonstrable experience with Business Loans and Mortgage Loans products, processes, and regulations.

Testing Skills :

- Proven ability to write and execute detailed test cases and test scripts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate defects.

- Proficient in defect tracking and reporting using JIRA.

- Hands-on experience with Zephyr for test management.

- Knowledge of different testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Technical Knowledge :

- Sound understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Familiarity with database concepts and SQL (basic queries for data verification).
