Project Summary.

PRO-telligent supports the U.S.

Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) to implement the Justice Sector Assistance Program (JSAP) in the West Bank.

It focuses on providing technical support, capacity-building and logistical support to key stakeholders in the Palestinian justice sector, including but not limited to law enforcement, the public prosecution, judicial institutions, and security agencies.

Position Summary.

The Womens Access to Justice Specialist (WJS) will analyze current laws, decrees, and regulations relating to gender-based violence (GBV) victims.

The WJS will provide assesses technical capacity and develops targeted trainings and technical assistance for a wide variety of actors in the West Bank.

The WJS will ensure compliance with PRO-telligent and Tetra Tech Duty of Care Standards.

The WJS will be supervised by the Deputy Chief of Team and will be based in Ramallah.

Responsibilities.

Conduct evaluation of current laws, decrees/regulations, and practices related to GBV victims to identify baseline of womens access to justice.

Conduct key interviews and compile data related to GBV and victims.

Plan activities and deliverables related to promoting improved womens access to justice.

Develop targeted technical training materials including manuals/protocols.

Mentor and conduct trainings to a wide variety of key actors in West Bank.

Work embedded within the appropriate public entities.

Perform other operational related duties as assigned by Deputy Chief of Team.

Qualifications.

Bachelors degree in criminal justice, law, or related field is required.

Masters degree preferred.

Minimum five years related experience working on womens access to justice required.

Experience providing technical support under U.S.

State Department funded projects preferred.

Familiarity and experience working in the West Bank required.

Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Strong adaptability, communication, problem-solving, service-oriented, and interpersonal skills required.

Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with colleagues from different cultural and professional backgrounds required.

Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English required.
