Placement Lead

Position Overview:

The Lead-Placements will be responsible for managing the business schools placement

services for students, overseeing career development programs, and building strong

partnerships with corporate organizations to ensure that students have access to valuable

job opportunities. This role will lead a team that assists students throughout their job search

journey, from resume building to interview preparation and securing their post-graduation

employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive placement strategy to enhance the employability of students across various business disciplines (e.g., finance, marketing, management).
• Student Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to students on job search strategies, networking, resume building, and interview preparation. Ensure students are well-prepared for successful job placement in competitive industries.
• Employer Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of employers, including multinational corporations, startups, and nonprofit organizations, to create a diverse set of job opportunities for students.
• Placement Services: Oversee the entire placement process, ensuring smooth coordination between students, employers, and faculty. This includes organizing on-campus recruitment events, company visits, job fairs, and networking opportunities.
• Data-Driven Insights: Track and analyze placement statistics, such as student employment rates, salary benchmarks, and industry trends. Use this data to refine strategies and report results to the schools leadership team.
• Career Development Programs: Lead workshops, webinars, and training sessions that prepare students for the job market, such as resume critiques, mock interviews, and personal branding sessions.
• Employer Branding: Enhance the schools reputation as a talent pipeline by promoting the skills and achievements of graduates. Assist in developing an employer engagement strategy that attracts top-tier companies to hire students.
• Collaboration with Academic Departments: Partner with faculty and academic advisors to ensure that the placement strategy aligns with academic curricula and the evolving needs of the job market.
• Alumni Engagement: Build relationships with alumni and leverage their networks to create additional opportunities for students. Encourage alumni to participate in mentoring programs, guest speaking, and recruitment events.
• Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure placement services are inclusive and accessible to all students, promoting diversity in the job search process and supporting students from a variety of backgrounds.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a career services, placement, or talent acquisition role, preferably within higher education or the business sector.
• Strong network in the business community and experience working with corporate recruiters and hiring managers.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, employers, and faculty.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the current job market, industry trends, and the skills employers are seeking.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple placement projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in career services management tools, CRM software, and data analytics.
