Job Description
- The Unity3D (SDK) team is part of the Software Core Services Services in the organization and is responsible for road-map, architecture, design, and management of tools and libraries for the entire Mixed Reality Ecosystem.
- The Unity3D (SDK) team is accountable for delivering libraries & tools for Tesseracts internal applications, supporting all verticals which aligns to Tesseracts Technology Road-map.
- The Sr. Unity3D Developer position is a very hands-on development role where you will be leading a team of Unity3D developers along with the Unity3D Lead Architect for conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and unique applications sdk s for Mixed Reality shaping user experience and overall product development.
- You will be working with an interdisciplinary team of Android, OS and Cloud Developer for sdk development in Unity3D and post-launch support for distributors and partners.
Your work at Tesseract will be key in shaping the user journey of millions of Mixed Reality users globally in the coming years.
- Designed and developed consumer grade applications/games in Unity3D.
- Built reusable, high-quality code, and libraries for future use which can be used across multiple projects.
- Proactively communicated and collaborated with Lead Architects to analyze information needs and functional requirements and help the Lead Architect in development planning, code review, architecture review, test and debug.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Drive and challenge product units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Agile software delivery process using JIRA (including breaking down work into modular tasks, updating/tracking task status/work log entries for sprint management), Gerrit/Git (source code management including branching strategy, code review) and Automation Tools.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Game Development or relevant field.
- 7+ Years of Experience in Unity3D based game/application development for mobile platform.
- 3+ Years of Experience in delivering high-quality consumer applications/games built using Unity3D, preferably over mobile platforms.
- Proven experience of managing and mentoring a team of 5+ Unity3D developers as senior or lead role.
- Advanced C#/C++ knowledge with architecture and design patterns.
- Solid OOPs programming skills and design patterns.
- Strong mathematical skills, knowledge of vectors, matrices, and linear algebra.
- Strong knowledge of designing state machines and multi-level games/applications in Unity3D.
- Experience in maintaining Performance & Optimisation in Unity3D Applications.
- Strong knowledge of Networking APIs in Unity3D.
- Experience in building XR applications for Hololens, Magic Leap, Oculus, HTC Vive, etc. is a huge plus.
- Experience in building consumer applications for mixed reality is a huge plus.
