Validation Engineer - HIL Testing (3-5 yrs)

Job Title : Software Validation Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 3 - 5 Years

Key Skills : BCM / Propulsion, Hil Validation

Must have :

- BCM/Propulsion System Knowledge : Strong understanding of Body Control Modules or Propulsion systems and associated software functionalities.

- HIL Testing : Hands-on experience with HIL systems (e.g., dSPACE, NI, ETAS) for automotive software validation.

- Software Testing : Proficiency in system-level software validation, including functional, performance, and stress testing.

- Automation : Experience in developing test automation scripts (e.g., Python, CAPL) for HIL-based testing.

Job Description :

- Perform software validation for Body Control Modules (BCM) or Propulsion systems on HiL setups.

- Develop and execute test cases and test plans based on system requirements and specifications.

- Set up, configure, and maintain HiL systems for testing BCM/Propulsion software.

- Automate HiL tests using scripting languages such as Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.

- Analyze test results, identify software defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.

- Conduct regression testing to ensure software updates do not introduce new defects.

- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide detailed reports on test outcomes.

- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE).

- Collaborate with system engineers, calibration engineers, and software developers for requirement tracing and coverage.

- Work with vehicle simulation models to test the system-level performance of software components.

- Track and document all validation activities in the relevant tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS, or equivalent).
