Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, DAX queries, and migrating reports from Cognos to Power BI while ensuring data integrity and visualization quality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

- Create and manage semantic layers in Power BI for consistent and accurate reporting.

- Migrate and optimize reports from Cognos to Power BI, ensuring seamless data transformation and visualization quality.

- Design and build data models and DAX queries to support analytical and business intelligence needs.

- Work with Power BI Service for report publishing, sharing, and dashboard management.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

- Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and security best practices in Power BI.

- Leverage Cognos experience to understand existing reports and transform them into Power BI solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in Power BI report development and data visualization.

- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

- Experience in building data models and semantic layers in Power BI.

- Hands-on experience in migrating reports from Cognos to Power BI.

- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

- Experience working with various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, Cloud, APIs, etc.

- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Power Automate, or Power Apps.

- Experience with Cognos report development and data structures.
