Automation Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Main: Test Automation transition from Java Selenium based Framework to new Playwright automation framework with JavaScript/TypeScript. The work is based on automation by re-factored manual rest cases and/or migration from Java Framework with refactoring.
• Leading TAF creation and Test Automation in the cooperation with the customer Test Automation Manager.
• Leading and mentoring Test Automation team (3 members from start, team is expected to grow over the time).
• Automated Tests performance and stabilization improvements.
• Test Automation documentation.
• Test Automation metrics collection.
• Automated tests failures analysis.
• Tests creation both on UI level.
• On rare occasions be ready to support manual Regression testing (for the time until new regression suite is automated, this will be timebox activity)
• Cooperate with manual QA teams on Test Cases clarification, refactoring, improvements.
• Defects creation based on the test automation runs. Root cause analysis.
• Code review of the team members.

Requirements to the candidate:

1. Experience in TAF set up from the scratch.
2. Advanced experience with Playwright automation framework with JavaScript.
3. Experience in Leading Test automation on the project, mentoring/leading test automation team.
4. Excellent communication, ability to cooperate with multiple teams and client representatives to calibrate, cooperate and help reaching defined targets.
5. Familiarity with REST APIs.
6. Knowledge of OOP, Automation best practices, Testing Basics, including bugs hunting, industry standards in test automation.
7. Proficiency in Git.
8. Understanding of the AzureDevOps pipelines.
9. Experience with the Report portal is a plus.
