Performance Test Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner (7-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Experienced Performance Tester with a strong understanding of performance testing processes, tools, and methodologies. The ideal candidate should have expertise in performance testing, scripting, and bottleneck analysis using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute performance test plans, test cases, and scripts.

- Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner (primary tool) and JMeter (secondary tool).

- Perform in-depth bottleneck analysis to identify performance issues across applications.

- Analyze test results and provide detailed performance reports with recommendations.

- Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

- Utilize APM tools like AppDynamics (AppD) and Splunk to monitor and analyze performance metrics.

- Identify, isolate, and document performance issues and assist in their resolution.

- Optimize test scripts, scenarios, and execution strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance requirements and ensure system scalability.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in Performance Testing.

- Strong expertise in LoadRunner (mandatory) and JMeter.

- Proficient in scripting for performance testing (LoadRunner VuGen, JMeter scripting).

- Strong knowledge of bottleneck analysis across application layers (frontend, backend, database, and network).

- Experience with APM tools like AppDynamics (AppD) and Splunk for monitoring and diagnostics.

- Understanding of performance tuning, profiling, and capacity planning.

- Hands-on experience with performance monitoring, log analysis, and debugging.

- Good knowledge of protocols (HTTP, Web Services, REST, SOAP, MQ, etc.).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests with DevOps workflows is a plus.

Preferred :

- Experience with cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, PCF, OpenShift, or GCP).

- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
