Title : OpenStack Administrator

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced OpenStack Administrator (COA-certified preferred) to manage and optimize our OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in OpenStack components, Linux administration, virtualization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

OpenStack Deployment & Management :

- Install, configure, and maintain OpenStack components, including Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, and Cinder.

- Monitor and optimize OpenStack cloud performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.

- Troubleshoot OpenStack issues and provide root cause analysis for failures.

Linux Administration & Networking :

- Manage Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS) to support OpenStack infrastructure.

- Configure and troubleshoot networking components (Neutron, VLANs, SDN, VXLAN, Open vSwitch).

- Ensure security and compliance by applying patches, updates, and security best practices.

Automation & Scripting :

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, or Heat templates.

- Automate OpenStack deployment and operational workflows to improve efficiency.

Virtualization & Storage Management :

- Work with KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) for virtualized infrastructure.

- Manage storage solutions such as Cinder (block storage) and Ceph for distributed storage needs.

- Optimize compute and storage performance for cloud workloads.

Troubleshooting & Optimization :

- Analyze logs and system metrics to detect and resolve performance issues.

- Work closely with development, networking, and DevOps teams to enhance cloud reliability.

- Provide technical documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Certifications : OpenStack COA (Certified OpenStack Administrator) preferred.

Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in OpenStack administration.

- Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS).

- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.

- Hands-on experience with virtualization (KVM) and networking (Neutron, Open vSwitch).

- Understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

- Excellent communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
