Machine Shop Incharge

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, keyway etc.)

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Having knowledge of reading assembly and component drawings and tolerance standards of machining activities

Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming

Experience in conventional machine shop

Experience of jigs and fixtures for machining irregular shapes components

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Leadership and team management abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Role & responsibilities

Candidate in responsible for machine shop leading having conventional machines & CNC turning centre, VMC, HMC and Keyway machines etc

Responsible for machining of non-ferrous castings, Shafts, accessories for marine component.

Responsible for desired output as per monthly shipment plan

Responsible for achieving productivity & reduction of cycle time

Responsible for plan daily activity & co-ordination with foundry, Quality, design and logistics departments

Responsible for maintaining quality standard as per international standards

Responsible for tooling selection & improvements in tooling

Responsible for troubleshooting, preventive & breakdown maintenance coordination

Manage material flow and ensure timely delivery of finished goods

Train and mentor machine operators on proper machining techniques and safety procedures

Foster a culture of safety and quality awareness within the machine shop

Communicate production status and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

Having experience of conventional machine shop preferred casting machining & experience of CNC machine & having experience of programming & operating

Having experience of data management and ERP software

Hands on experience of leading team of 20-25 employees in similar industries

Having hands on experience in EHS Environment
