Windows & Linux Admin

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of system administration, be proficient in managing complex IT infrastructures, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT systems.

Responsibilities

• System Management: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect data, software, and hardware; manage firewall, antivirus, and other security systems.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans; ensure data integrity and availability.
• Upgrades and Updates: Coordinate and perform software and hardware upgrades and updates.
• User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to users; resolve system-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Compliance: Ensure that systems and procedures comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Networking: Proficient in network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Security: Experience with security best practices and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
• Team Player: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
