Testing & Site Service Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Testing:

- Develop and execute test plans, test products, and testing protocols.

- Conduct functional, performance, reliability, and High Voltage testing of products.

- Analyze test results to identify defects or areas for improvement in design or functionality.

- Collaborate with product development teams to resolve issues identified during testing.

Service:

- Provide on-site technical support for equipment installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

- Respond promptly to service calls from customers; troubleshoot problems both remotely and in person.

- Train customers on product usage and maintenance procedures.

- Detailed report submission after the service activity.

Documentation:

- Prepare detailed reports documenting test results along with recommendations for improvements.

- Maintain records of service activities including customer interactions, solutions provided, parts replaced etc. whenever for the case of AMC & Services at sites

Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering design teams to feedback on product performance post-deployment.

Continuous Improvement:

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights based on field observations.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Diploma (Electrical/Electronics) or a related field.

- 1 year of experience in product testing or technical support/service engineering roles.

- Familiarity with industry standards related to testing methodologies (e.g., ISO standards).

- Freshers are also welcome

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong analytical problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose complex issues effectively.

- Proficient in using tools/software related to the relays, Test kits.

- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly both verbally and in writing.

- Attention to detail coupled with critical thinking abilities; focus on delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

- Experience working directly with clients/customers providing service/support solutions.

Additional Requirements:

- Willingness to travel as needed for customer site visits.
