Autocad Draughtsman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with 3-4 years of experience in AutoCAD and hands-on expertise in RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme) Projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for electrical distribution projects under RDSS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, layouts, and blueprints for RDSS projects.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to develop accurate and comprehensive designs.
• Create technical drawings for electrical distribution networks, substations, transmission lines, and other related infrastructures.
• Ensure compliance with RDSS guidelines, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and civil layouts.
• Maintain proper documentation and revisions of drawings based on client and engineering feedback.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site visits, as needed, to gather data and verify drawings.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting software to improve accuracy and efficiency in design output.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting for electrical distribution projects.
• Proven experience in drafting and designing RDSS projects..
• Familiarity with electrical distribution infrastructure, substations, transmission lines, and grid modernization.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and other relevant drafting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and schematics.
• Knowledge of RDSS guidelines, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GIS Software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.) for mapping and electrical distribution planning.
• Knowledge of power distribution system design and grid modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with electrical safety codes and standards.
