Senior Commissioning Engineer (Schneider PLC/DCS)

As commissioning engineer you will commission and oversees the installation of equipment, systems, facilities and plants on a clients site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all new machinery and equipment are commissioned properly and function at optimum capacity to meet the clients needs.As a commissioning engineer, your role will require a thorough technical understanding of the equipment or systems that you have commissioned to various clients.
Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth commissioning, testing, and validation of Schneider PLC and DCS systems to ensure safe plant operation during and post-shutdown.
• Configure, develop, and troubleshoot complex logic graphics, ensuring seamless system integration and functionality.
• Lead the commissioning activities for various sites, managing the in-and-out scope of this high-stakes shutdown project, coordinating with client technical team to align with project timelines.
• Demonstrate hands-on proficiency in diagnosing and rectifying system issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth workflow during the projects critical phases.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to execute project milestones efficiently.
• Provide detailed technical documentation, reports, and feedback to stakeholders, ensuring transparency in progress and challenges faced.
• Scheduling and coordinating commissioning visits with a variety of clients
• Reviewing the technical documentation of existing client systems and machinery to understand their functions and purpose
• Creating and proposing test procedures that ensure the proper working of equipment and machinery
• Providing documentation to inform the suggested test procedures
• Supervising and carrying out appropriate testing and commissioning of a clients systems and equipment
• Troubleshooting any existing problems or limitations of the existing equipment, machinery and systems that a client has
• Repairing faults
• Working with other engineers or site staff to carry out tests and repairs
• Ensuring safe working conditions for everyone involved in the testing and assessment of site machinery and equipment
• Providing training for system testing and evaluation where appropriate
• Travelling to different client sites for specified periods of time to oversee commissioning projects.
