The Site Quality Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all mechanical, civil, electrical & instrumentation components and systems within a project, by overseeing inspections, sub-contractors quality management, adherence to project specifications, and relevant industry standards, all while maintaining safety and compliance throughout the construction process, particularly focusing on aspects like material selection, fabrication, welding, and testing of mechanical equipment like pipes, vessels, and rotating machinery, civil, electrical & instrumentation activities of project.
Qualifications / Skills:
bachelors degree/diploma in Mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 15 - 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or similar role.
Minimum 5 Years of experience as Lead Role.
Proven experience in quality management systems (QMS) within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of relevant quality standards and codes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
Proficiency in inspection techniques and data analysis
Leadership skills to manage a team of quality inspectors
Ability to work independently.
Certification in ISO 9001:2015 & NDT Level - II is a must.
Certification in CSWIP, Bgas is a plus.
About you:
Implementation & maintenance of project quality plan at site.
Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Control Plans (QCPs) for construction components, including inspection test plans (ITPs) and method statements, aligned with project requirements and client specifications.
Preparation of quality dashboard & reporting.
Review and approve sub-contractors quality deliverables including welding procedure specifications (WPS).
Maintain detailed quality records and documentation to track inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
Lead the quality inspection team during material receiving, fabrication, and installation of mechanical components at the project site.
Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and witness non-destructive testing (NDT) like radiography, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle inspection.
Ensure proper documentation of inspection findings and timely clearance of materials and equipment.
Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, relevant codes (ASME, API, etc), and quality standards applicable to the oil and gas industry.
Expertise in welding procedures, heat treatment processes, and material selection for mechanical components.
Awareness of Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation activities at site.
Knowledge of advanced inspection techniques like dimensional analysis, pressure testing, and performance testing.
Effectively communicate quality concerns to project engineers, site supervisors, and client representatives.
Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, piping) to ensure overall project quality.
Conduct regular quality meetings to review progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead internal quality audits to assess compliance with the project quality plan and identify areas for improvement.
