Job Title: Piping Layout Designer

Job Summary:
The Piping Layout Designer will be responsible for creating detailed piping layouts and designs for oil and gas facilities. This role involves working closely with engineers and other design professionals to ensure that all piping systems are efficient, safe, and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed piping layout designs using 2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD or SmartPlant 3D).
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to understand project requirements and design specifications.
- Create and modify piping isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, and piping plans.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME, API, and OSHA.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather data and verify existing conditions.
- Assist in the selection of piping materials and components based on project specifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as structural and electrical, to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to optimize piping layouts for constructability and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all design work and revisions.
- Provide support during the construction phase by addressing design-related queries and issues.

Qualifications:

- Associate degree or diploma in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping design within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, or SmartPlant 3D.
- Strong understanding of piping design principles, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with both onshore or offshore oil and gas projects.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards.
- Experience in conducting field surveys and site visits.
