Technical Specialist, Engineering

The Technical Specialist in Hexagon Design and Engineering will work daily in contact with customers using our solution. He will support them in the use of our solutions to ensure the best user experience and to help them reach their goals.

The engineer will also execute projects demonstrating the value of our solutions to future customers. The Technical Specialist will get the support in his activities from the Product Development team and from senior engineers located abroad.

• As Technical Specialist, part of the Technical Support group of Hexagon Design & Engineering, the Technical Specialist has for responsibilities To ensure an excellent customer experience to our current and future customer using our solutions. To reach this objective, the engineer must:
  • Provide the technical support (remotely or on-site) needed by our customers in the implementation and daily usage of our software solutions.
  • Train customer (on-site or remotely) on how to use efficiently our solutions.
  • Report customer requests for enhancements to the product management team.
  • Write technical articles to fill our knowledge database available on-line to help our customers.
  • Contribute to activity on Forum
• To contribute to the development of our business in EMEA and India by
  • Being the right arm of Sales team to introduce our solutions, to understand prospects needs and to demonstrate how our solutions can be used to address these needs.
  • Solving, reporting and presenting customer benchmark test problems

• MS or PhD in engineering with an emphasis on numerical simulation
• Knowledge of finite element technology
• Knowledge of non-linear material modelling, experience in plastic & composite material modelling is a plus.
• Rigorous working approach and efficient time and project management with the ability to prioritize activities across multiple projects
• Good communication skills
• Strong oral and written communication in English.
• 1 or 2 years experienced as simulation/presales engineer is a plus.
