Technical Lead/Architect- Python

Responsibilities of a Tech Lead

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to all members of the product development team.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
• Support the team by removing obstacles, addressing complex technical issues and making considered decisions.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions with the wider tech team.
• Ensure that the team follows established architectural principles, patterns and guiderails.
• Perform an active leadership role in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; ensuring full team involvement.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure that testing processes are integrated into the development workflow.
• Work on and improve the CI/CD process, together with test and DevOps functions.
• Work with cross functional teams e.g. (UX, DevOps, Automation) to efficiently deliver value through product development & optimization.
• Define and maintain your product's intentional architecture and design, working closely with the Lead Architect and the DevOps team.
• Mentor and guide team members on best practices for a software development team.
• Identify and address technical debt through sprint planning and implementation.
• Act as the team bastion of quality, ensuring that quality attributes are considered as an equal citizen to functional requirements.
• Hold regular one-to-ones with your team members, maintaining a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.
• Core skills in this role- Python, ReactJS + Azure OR Python, ReactJS + AWS OR Python, Angular + Azure

Desired profile:

• 10+ years of experience in related technologies
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Significant development experience in the Python, including OOPS
• Experience working with multiple Python frameworks like Django and FastAPI
• Experience working with a wide variety of libraries/ORM frameworks.
• Experience working with front end languages like React, Angular
• Advanced understanding of containerization, Micro services architecture, server less technologies and other cloud deployment paradigms.
• Advanced working knowledge of cloud platform resources e.g. Azure, AWS
• Extensive experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Extensive experience with Agile teams, tools and best practices.
