IFS Technical Consultant (5-11 yrs)

Job Description :

1. IFS Application Expertise (Version 10 and Above) :

- Should have hands-on experience working with IFS Applications (particularly version 10 or later).

- Understanding of the IFS ERP system architecture, modules, and business processes.

- Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing IFS applications for better performance.

2. PL/SQL Development :

- Strong command of PL/SQL programming for writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures.

- Develop database triggers, views, and functions to support custom business logic.

- Ensure data integrity and performance optimization within IFS databases.

3. Customization & Development :

- Modify existing IFS functionalities and develop custom solutions as per business requirements.

- Develop, test, and implement custom components, reports, and workflows in IFS ERP.

- Work on user interface (UI) modifications, custom fields, and event actions to enhance the system's usability.

4. Interfaces Development :

- Design and develop integration solutions between IFS and other third-party systems using APIs, Web Services, and Middleware.

- Experience in XML, REST, SOAP, or other integration technologies used for data exchange between IFS and external applications.

- Ensure seamless data flow between IFS ERP and other business applications.

5. Debugging & Performance Tuning :

- Identify and resolve performance issues in IFS applications and database queries.

- Monitor and optimize long-running SQL queries and improve system efficiency.

6. Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users to understand requirements.

- Document technical specifications, design, and implementation details for future reference.

- Provide training and support to users for newly developed/customized features.

Preferred Qualifications :

- 5-7 years of experience working with IFS Applications.

- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and IFS Data Models.

- Experience in custom development and integration projects.

- Familiarity with IFS Connect, IFS Lobby, and IFS Reporting is a plus.

- Good understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and HR in an ERP environment.
