Datamatics - Associate PHP Architect - Symfony/Laravel (10-13 yrs)

Role Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated PHP Associate Architect to join our dynamic team.

Core Requirement :

- 10 to 13 years of overall experience, with 3-5 years focused on architectural design.

- 6+ years of experience in backend development with expertise in PHP and Symfony/Laravel framework.

- Knowledge of API design, microservices, event-driven architectures.

- Skilled in writing performant Oracle (1st Preference) and/or SQL (2nd Preference) queries and debugging slow queries.

- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.

- Practical expertise in test-driven development (TDD) using unit, integration and functional testing.

- Strong understanding of security, data, caching, messaging, and integration patterns.

- Experience with cloud infrastructure and tools (AWS or Azure) for deployment, automation and scaling.

Preferred (Good To Have) Qualifications :

- Proficiency in other backend languages such as NodeJS, Java.

- Experience with native mobile application development as well as experience with hybrid development (React).

- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.

- Proficient in containerization (Docker).

Key Responsibilities :

- Work closely with engineering teams to architect scalable, robust and cost-effective solutions backend systems and services.

- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

- Lead the implementation of best practices in backend development, including coding standards, version control, and deployment processes.

- Take a key role in managing non-functional requirements and technical debt by creating visibility, setting measurable targets, and holding teams accountable.

- Mentor junior developers on backend development skills and standards.

- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the company to develop technical solutions.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team for the implementation of CI/CD pipelines.

- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in backend development, sharing knowledge and insights with the team talented team.
