We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Apache Spark, SQL, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, transforming large datasets, and enabling advanced analytics on Azure.

This role involves working closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to design, implement, and optimize data solutions for real-time and batch processing.

Roles and responsibilities :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark (Databricks/Synapse Spark Pools) on Microsoft Azure.

- Design data models and ETL/ELT workflows to support data processing and analytics.

- Implement data integration strategies using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.

- Build and manage high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures for large datasets.

- Work with structured and unstructured data sources to enable advanced reporting and analytics.

- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring performance optimization.

- Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices in line with industry standards.

- Troubleshoot and optimize Spark-based data processing pipelines for performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Stay updated with Azure, Fabric, and Power BI innovations and recommend best practices for adoption.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in Apache Spark (Databricks, Synapse Spark Pools, or equivalent).

- Advanced SQL proficiency for querying, performance tuning, and data modeling.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Azure Blob Storage.

- Experience in Microsoft Fabric for building scalable data solutions.

- Expertise in Power BI for creating interactive reports, DAX calculations, and data modeling.

- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and experience in designing enterprise-scale data architectures.

- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

- Familiarity with Python/Scala for data engineering tasks is a plus.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in Data Lakehouse architecture on Azure.

- Knowledge of Machine Learning or AI-driven analytics.

- Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, DP-203, or Power BI certifications.
