TechChefz - AEM Developer - Java/J2EE (1-2 yrs)

Job Description :

As an AEM Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust solutions on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform.

You will translate client requirements into technical specifications and implement them using AEM components, OSGi bundles, and related technologies.

This role requires a strong understanding of Java-based web development and AEM architecture.

Responsibilities :

AEM Component Development :

- Develop custom AEM components, templates, dialogs, and workflows using HTL/Sightly and Java.

- Implement responsive and accessible UI components adhering to best practices.

- Utilize AEM's core components and adapt them to meet specific project needs.

OSGi Bundle Development :

- Create and maintain OSGi bundles for AEM services and business logic.

- Implement Sling models and services for data retrieval and processing.

- Ensure proper dependency management and bundle lifecycle management.

AEM Environment Management :

- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of AEM environments, including author and publish instances.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AEM applications.

- Work with AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM version 6.

Code Quality and Testing :

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Content Management and Workflows :

- Implement AEM workflows for content approval and publishing processes.

- Utilize AEM DAM for asset management and integration.

- Assist in the implementation of multi lingual websites.

Integration :

- Assist in the integration of AEM with other systems via RESTful APIs.

Technical Skills & Experience :

Core Technologies :

- 1-2 years of experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development.

- Proficiency in Java SE and Java EE.

- Strong understanding of OSGi concepts and implementation.

- Experience with HTL/Sightly templating language.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

- Experience with Apache Sling and Apache Felix.

AEM Specific Skills :

- Experience developing custom AEM components, templates, and dialogs.

- Knowledge of AEM workflows and DAM.

- Understanding of AEM architecture and deployment processes.

- Experience with AEM client libraries and JavaScript.

- Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM version 6.

Development Tools and Practices :

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Familiarity with build tools (Maven).

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Basic knowledge of Jenkins.

- Knowledge of JSON.

Web Technologies :

- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g, React, Angular).

- Knowledge of AEM best practices and performance optimization.

- Experience with Adobe Analytics or other analytics tools
