Role & responsibilities : Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Testing:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing of web applications.
2. Test Case Development:
• Analyze business requirements and user stories to create detailed test scenarios and cases.
• Automate repetitive test cases for faster execution cycles.
3. Test Execution:
• Execute automated test scripts, report test results, and log defects in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Validate fixes and perform retesting to ensure resolution of reported issues.
4. Framework Development:
• Build and enhance automation frameworks (e.g., data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid).
• Ensure frameworks are scalable, reusable, and optimized for execution efficiency.
5. Collaboration:
• Work closely with developers, QA team members, and business analysts to understand application functionality and testing requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for improving the testing process.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices.
