- Conduct interviews: Journalists conduct interviews with relevant individuals, including experts, witnesses, or those involved in a particular event or issue
- They prepare interview questions, conduct the interviews, and accurately record or transcribe the responses
- Stay updated on current events: Journalists need to stay informed about current events, both local and global
- They must be aware of ongoing stories, emerging trends, and newsworthy developments in various fields to identify potential stories and cover them effectively
