Job Description
- The IBDP Physics Teacher with Extended Essay plays a critical role in delivering quality education and shaping the learning experience for students. - Deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons in Physics following the IBDP curriculum guidelines
- Facilitate student learning and understanding of complex Physics concepts through effective teaching methodologies
- Guide and support students in the development and execution of their Extended Essay research projects
- Design assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance and Extended Essay progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to align instructional strategies and maximize student learning outcomes
- Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices in teaching Physics and the IBDP program
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
- Communicate proactively with students, parents, and school administration regarding academic progress and concerns
- Contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular life of the school through extracurricular engagement
- Bachelors degree in Physics or related field
- Teaching certification or licensure in relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience teaching Physics at the IBDP level
- Demonstrated expertise in guiding students through the Extended Essay process
- In-depth understanding of the IBDP Physics curriculum and assessment requirements
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and fostering a love of learning in students
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment
