Job Overview:
- The Strategic Marketing Automation Demand Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert, a strategic advisor, and a tactical executor for process automation across multiple demand generation platforms (Eloqua, Salesforce, iCapture, Demandbase, etc).
- This role requires a deep understanding of strategic and tactical execution for email marketing, customer journey orchestration, nurture strategies, demand generation, account-based marketing, and opportunity acquisition.
- The specialist will be a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders to achieve their business goals and adopt new approaches through effective marketing automation and always-on strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, a tactful, diplomatic approach, creative problem-solving skills, and an ability to understand and respond to customer needs in a changing business environment are required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic guidance customer demand generation and innovative approaches to increase customer engagement and pipeline generation
- Defines, tests and optimizes demand generation tactics in partnership with business unit stakeholders across all stages of the funnel (e.g. audience segmentation, scoring systems, content strategies, multi-channel campaigns, customer orchestration workflows, etc)
- Proactively manages the product marketing technology roadmap.
- Understands stakeholder requirements, leverages market trends, and prioritizes marketing technology innovation based on short and long-term business goals.
- Monitors marketing technology industry trends and emerging technologies with the ability to design, apply, and implement best practices for business environments.
- Leads complex projects that include optimizing existing processes, launching new technologies, conducting business process reviews, supporting new features, enablement, etc.
- Drives adoption by teaching marketers "how to fish for themselves" and publishing user-friendly playbooks to empower users to try new approaches and create measurable business value.
- Implement standard processes, establish governance for customer engagement, implement data privacy compliance, and promote best practices across ten business units.
- Partners with product managers, data analysts, engineers, and data platform team to build marketing technology solutions across the MarTech ecosystem.
- Partner closely with marketing stakeholders to understand their pain points and drive improvements related to customer acquisition, retention, and nurturing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to communicate complex topics with non-technical audiences and become a trusted partner with business unit marketing teams.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate field with 12 or more years of experience; or Masters degree with 10 or more years of experience; or PhD level with 6 or more years of experience; or local equivalent
- Knowledge of Marketing Technology (MarTech) and proven experience with one or more marketing automation and ABM platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, 6Sense, Demandbase).
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, best practices, and campaign management.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization and driving collaboration across diverse teams and geographies.
- Leadership experience to create a culture built on trust and building inclusive relationships with empathy to drive collaboration and engagement
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
- Experience in change management within marketing and sales organizations in large, complex B2B environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Marketing Analytics background and proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience developing and implementing advanced product go-to-market strategies and tactics.
